Summer is here – or at least the bears of summer (cue music) are here. With all those sunny days and long weekends to look forward to, we take a look at some preventative measures you can take to stay bear safe while camping or playing outdoors in all the majesty that BC has to offer. We’ll get some useful advice from Tom Saare of the Rivers Institute at BCIT about how to do just that.
Alison gives a recap of the film premier of Eco Pirate: The Story of Paul Watson last Friday at the Projecting Change Film Festival, including the juice on how Paul Watson’s post-sell-out-show Q & A went, along with a review of the film, of course! Congrats to all involved for taking home the Projecting Change 2011 Award for Best Documentary.
In preparation for Carissa and Alison’s planned trip to the Animal Rights National Conference in Los Angeles, California from July 21st-25th, Michael A. Weber from FARM USA is on the show to tell us what to expect, and why you should go! If you’re undecided, we hope this will help you make a final decision.
