Burying animals alive in Korea, Forks Over Knives preview, and Martin Luther King Jr. Day

In this week’s episode, we discuss the inhumane act of burying pigs and chickens alive being committed in South Korea in a sorry attempt to control simultaneous outbreaks of Foot and Mouth Disease and Avian Flu.

We also delve further into the forthcoming film Forks Over Knives, taken from Carissa’s pre-show interview with Executive Producer Brian Wendell, in anticipation of the special advanced screening presented by Liberation BC and the Vancouver Public Library on Thursday, January 20th at 7pm on the lower level of the Central Library Branch.

Here is the video that we play on the show of the director and executive producer discussing the film:

We end the show with a tribute in recognition of Martin Luther King Jr. Day on Monday, January 17th, with thoughts on how to apply the same principles Dr. King lived by as a prominent leader of the civil rights movement in the 1950’s and 1960’s to today’s animal rights movement.
