We also check-in with Jordan Reichert (The Critical Cat), one of the founders of the newly-formed Vancouver Island Vegan Association – VIVA.

VIVA is focused on building a welcoming, inclusive, safe, and accepting community of people interested in veganism. No matter what your ethnicity, gender, sex, sexual orientation, colour, economic status, or religious beliefs you are welcome to join us as we promote a non-speciest approach to living a compassionate lifestyle. If we want to build with these values, then we must practice them in how we communicate and behave with those we work, eat, play, and live with.

We also share some clips from the protest at Greater Vancouver Zoo which saw about 80 people travel out to Aldergrove on April 5, 2015.

To join in on anti-zoo actions in the region follow Liberate GV Zoo Animals.

We hope to see you at the Queer Animal Talent Show on Saturday, April 18th in Vancouver!
