Sarah Kramer of the new storefront Sarah’s Place, Tara & Robin share their Transition Stories

In this, Carissa’s last episode Co-Hosting (as she’s going back to school to study Journalism at Langara for two years), guest contributors Robin Pickel and Tara-Lee Gardiner share their stories of how they transitioned from eating meat to embracing the vegan lifestyle (Robin only took four days!), including some of the motivating factors and what helped them make the switch.

For our feature interview, we talk to Sarah Kramer, author of the ever popular cookbooks How It All Vegan, The Garden of Vegan, La Dolce Vegan, and Vegan A-Go-Go. Having sold nearly 500,000 cookbooks world wide, Sarah has recently gone on to open a storefront in Victoria, BC called Sarah’s Place that she refers to as a ‘Vegan Curio Shop.’ Sarah will also share with us the details of her forthcoming App for iPhone and iPod Touch that’s set to be released this Fall.

Sarah’s Place is located at 533 Pandora Avenue in downtown Victoria, and stocks vegan products from chocolate bars to items by local artisans, rare and vintage items, and of course all of Sarah’s cookbooks, which she will autograph for you personally. You can find Sarah on the World Wide Web over at GoVegan.net, and many of the things available at Sarah’s Place are able to be ordered online (if you aren’t able to get to Victoria in a pinch).
