We remember Esther the Wonder Pig, who brought so much joy to millions in the world who had the chance to follow the hilarious and heart-warming life of a pig and her human and animal friends. Esther passed away this week on October 18th, 2023 (a few weeks after her beloved friend Cornelius the turkey). She will be dearly missed and remembered forever.

In this throwback interview from January 2014, we had the opportunity to speak with Esther’s two dads, Derek and Steve. They had just set up a Facebook page for her a month before and it was already starting to explode! In this episode, they share how Esther came into their lives and what it was like to live in the city with a pig who had such a big life!

Esther the Wonder Pig has become an online sensation, having well over 20,000 likes on Facebook so far, and many shares amongst vegans and non-vegans alike. They also have created a youtube channel, to help broaden the reach. In bringing Esther into their lives, her humans, Steve Jenkins and Derek Walter, have been remarkably impacted by her in many ways. It is a beautiful story, and we have the honor of sharing it on our show.

New Year Intentions and Past Year Reflections

It is a New Year, and with that, comes a great time to reflect on some of the pivotal / impactful moments of the previous year. We will discuss some of the top moments for the animals in 2013, as well as share some of our personal best moments of the year with / for nonhuman animals.

We also will discuss some tips / suggestions of things we can all do to help animals in 2014.
