In this episode, we discuss The Kimpton Hotel and Restaurant Group’s “Guppy Love” program, in which they have been renting out goldfish to hotel guests, to keep them company, since 2001! If you would like to see this exploitation of animals stopped, you can send a quick email to CEO Mike Depatie to politely urge him to stop using fish as props for the fleeting amusement of guests by filling out a quick email form here. Plus, we talk about about food prices rising, especially in the meat and dairy sector. Does that mean it’s time to go vegan?
Travel Tips and Recommendations for Compassionate Eating – Part 5: Las Vegas
In continuing on with our Travel Tips series, Alison presents this segment based on her recent, and very first, trip to the city of sin, Las Vegas, Nevada! It was a short trip, but she still managed to find some good vegan eats there, and will review Veggie Delight, the Whole Foods in Town Square, and last but certainly not least, Ronald’s Donuts.
Also, one particular web resource that she found to be helpful in learning about where to find vegan food among the endless bevy of non-veg food establishments in Las Vegas is: Surviving as a Vegetarian in Las Vegas.
You can watch a peer review of Ronald’s Donuts yourself here, that Alison’s friend Whitney and her friend Mary produced, which showcases the donuts being eaten in full detail. Then you can tell us how much your mouth is watering for these!
