Glenn Gaetz, Animal Advocacy Camp

Our first interview is with local Vancouver animal activist Glenn Gaetz, who is with us to tell us all about the upcoming Animal Advocacy Camp, Vancouver’s Animal Rights UnConference. This 2 day event will be happening this year on February 25th and 26th. It’s a time for Lower Mainland animal advocates to meet together for a weekend of learning about taking effective action for animals.

The idea is that we, as animal advocates, have valuable skills, experiences and ideas and that by working and learning together, we can build a stronger community of animal advocates and make a greater difference in the lives of animals. Everyone is encouraged to attend, and registration is only $15 for the whole event, which includes keynote speakers Camille Labchuk (federal Green Party), Rob Laidlaw (Zoocheck Canada), Lesley Fox (Fur Bearer Defenders), and vegan superstar Sarah Kramer (cookbook author).

If you wish to attend this exciting event, you can register here.

Carolyn Scott-Hamilton, The Healthy Voyager, on Compassionate Veg Travel

Our feature interview is with The Healthy Voyager, Carolyn Scott-Hamilton. Carolyn speaks with us about the work she does to promote healthy plant-based living, and to give us tips and advice on compassionate vegetarian traveling. Learn what some of the best (and worst) places are to travel when keeping the animals in mind; tips on eating in airports, airplanes, and strange international cities; and how to cook creatively in your hotel room!

Carolyn also talks about her company, The Healthy Voyager, and tell us about the travel tours she is offering to places all over the world, which cater specifically to your dietary requirements.
