Nicole Forsyth, United Animal Nations, My Dog is Cool campaign

On this week’s show, Joanne shares some shocking facts & figures about heart disease and Alison talks about some of the silliest comments that are made to vegans and animal rights activists.

We’ll be interviewing representatives from 3 local organizations (Vancouver Rabbit Rescue & Advocacy, Hearts on Noses & SAINTS) on the scene at the 27th Annual Animal Rights Day celebration hosted by the Vancouver Humane Society.

Our featured guest is Nicole Forsyth, President and CEO of United Animal Nations (UAN). According to their website, UAN is an organization that focuses on bringing animals out of crisis and strengthening the bond between people and animals through a variety of programs, including emergency sheltering, disaster relief services, financial assistance and education.

Since it is the middle of the summer, we thought it is the perfect time to invite Nicole on our program to tell us about My Dog is Cool – an awareness campaign about keeping dogs cool in the summer.
