The Doc Show: Tribe of Heart and The Ghosts In Our Machine

Here’s this week’s show!

We start today’s show with a review of the Wellness Show took place last weekend. It’s a huge 3 day convention in Vancouver, the focus of which is ‘helping you find balance‘. Animal Voices contributor Tim Aretz, who hosts Plate Invaders, a monthly vegan dinner club, presented a live cooking demo at the show; check out his ‘celebrity chef’ bio!

The Ghosts In Our Machine

Toronto-based filmmaker, Liz Marshall, joins us on this week’s show to speak about her soon-to be-released cross-platform feature The Ghosts In Our Machine. This project focuses on the work of globetrotting animal rights photojournalist Jo-Anne McArthur. Liz was a speaker at the Animal Advocacy Camp this past weekend.

James Lavec, Tribe of Heart

For our second interview, we speak with James Lavec of Tribe of Heart. Tribe of Heart is a wonderful organization that makes beautiful and inspiring documentaries with the intention to awaken compassion and peaceful action amongst everyone. Animal Voices recently hosted a public screening of their award-winning film, Peaceable Kingdom: The Journey Home, and we had an amazing response from all who attended.

Also, for any of you that missed our screening, Liberation BC will be showing Peaceable Kingdom: The Journey Home on March 13 from 6:00-9:00pm at the Rio Theatre on Broadway, in Vancouver. For more info on this event, please visit this link.
